How to Access

DynaMed is a clinical decision support tool that combines the highest quality evidence-based information, expert guidance, and a user-friendly, personalized experience to deliver accurate answers fast at the point of care.

You can access DynaMed from a variety of places, depending on your Jefferson divisional affiliation:

Once you create a Personal User Account in DynaMed, you can access DynaMed from home by going to www.dynamed.com and entering the username and password you created when you set up an account.

To confirm that you are still a member of our institution, you may be required to reauthorize your Personal Account periodically. Login from on campus or from off campus via the library links and sign into your personal account to reauthorize your account.

Web Links Options: There are now 2 options in the web links drop-down, anonymous and registered. You will not have to create an account if you choose to only access the weblink for DynaMed as anonymous. However, you can only collect and claim credits (i.e. CME) if you have created an account and are signed in while using DynaMed.

  • Registered Link: Taking the “registered” link will ask you to sign into your DynaMed personal account. Those credentials will be remembered in Epic going forward.
  • Anonymous Link: click on the anonymous link to use DynaMed without signing in.

Active Guidelines Option: You can access DynaMed from within the Active Guidelines screen, which can be found in the Problem List or Visit Diagnosis screens.

  1. Right-click on the entry and select Search Active Guidelines:

  1. Click the DynaMed button

  2. DynaMed will launch and search for your item in its database.
    1. Note: You may be asked to register, but once you do, Epic will remember your account.
