Q: What do I do if I have questions or suspect an issue with my order?
A: If you would like to speak with someone about your binding order, you can do one of the following:
In each case, if a member of the library administration is not available to speak with you, we will get back to you as soon as we can do so.
Q: How many copies of my thesis do I need to provide?
A: The University requires one (1) copy for your academic department. Additional personal copies are optional.
Q: Is the library doing the binding process?
A: The library does not bind items in-house. We hire a third-party binding service.
Q: I moved! How will I get my bound theses?
A: If your mailing address has changed and you can no longer physically pick up your binding order, please email the library and provide us with an updated mailing address. We will have your order shipped to the address you provide.
Q: How much does it cost to ship my order if I cannot pick it up?
A: There is no additional cost for shipping your order to the mailing address you provide. We ship items via UPS.
Note: The library is not liable if your order is lost, or parts are missing during shipping. We are not liable/responsible if your items are damaged during shipping.
Q: What happens to the other copies of my thesis?
A: The single required copy will be sent to your academic department. The library no longer adds new bound theses to its collection.
Q: What if I don’t claim my order?
A: The library does not issue refunds for unclaimed or unwanted bound copies once the order has been shipped to the vendor and/or the check has been cashed.
Unclaimed bound theses will be discarded after one calendar year.
Q: What will happen to the current theses collection in the library?
A: The bound theses currently cataloged in the library collection will remain in the collection. They are now eligible for a long loan to Thomas Jefferson University - East Falls departments to demonstrate a sample thesis to students. If an East Falls academic department is interested in borrowing theses from their program area, please email the library for more information.
