The Free Library's Business Resource & Innovation Center (BRIC) has resources for businesses and nonprofits. It also serves as a Patent & Trademark Resource Center in Pennsylvania.

The Free Library also subscribes to some business databases unavailable at TJU, notably Reference Solutions: U.S. Businesses (a business directory with B2B sales information), and Reference Solutions: U.S. Consumers & Lifestyles (demographics and B2C sales).

The Free Library of Philadelphia states, "A Free Library card is available at no cost to anyone who lives, works, pays taxes, or goes to school in the City of Philadelphia. In addition, anyone who lives in the state of Pennsylvania can obtain a Free Library card without charge." Register online here.
