Web Comics are comics that are designed to be viewed online. They can take many forms: a single comic strip, a collection, a series, an ongoing narrative, etc. Graphic Medicine reviews new web comics that specifically address medical themes, but web comics are often self-published and may be found all over the internet. Some popular books started as web comics, such as Comic Nurse, Not Your Mother's Meatloaf, and Oh Joy Sex Toy.
