Web Comics
Web Comics are comics that are designed to be viewed online. They can take many forms: a single comic strip, a collection, a series, an ongoing narrative, etc. Graphic Medicine reviews new web comics that specifically address medical themes, but web comics are often self-published and may be found all over the internet. Some popular books started as web comics, such as Comic Nurse, Not Your Mother's Meatloaf, and Oh Joy Sex Toy.

MK Czerwiec has been creating comics under the pseudonym Comic Nurse since 2000. She continues to publish comics online and has authored several books. She co-authored the Graphic Medicine Manifesto, and she is a co-manager of GraphicMedicine.org. |
